http://www.euronews.net/ Many Americans have been trying to shake off the economic gloom, flocking to major stores overnight for the traditional 'Black Friday' sales.

Some stores opened at midnight, earlier than usual in a bid to attract post-Thanksgiving bargain hunters for what is seen as the traditional beginning of the US Christmas shopping season.

A third of all consumers are predicted to shop today; more than 150 million Americans are expected to hit the stores this weekend.

The gloomiest a report can get about the economic conditions in America goes as far as to say that 39% of American adults live above the federal poverty threshold but don't have enough cash to cover expenses such as housing, food, healthcare and other basic expenses. You have to be a deeply anti-American fucking moron to assume the same condition for all or a majority of Americans, i.e. that all or a majority of those shopping are spending money they don't have.

Oh wow, you're more of a fucking moron than I originally thought. You make no attempt to understand my contestion at all. It was to the assertion all or a majority of those shopping on Black Friday are spending money they don't have. You're attributing the condition of scarcity on the entire population of consumers. You made uncorroborated assertions and you continue to make them e.g. no down payment for the house. My government? I'm not from the US, idiot.

Trying very hard to stick to your original assertions aren't ya? Where did you get these stats for 2011? And just how the fuck does it definitively prove your unwarranted uncorroborated assertions to be correct (that all of these consumers are spending cash that they don't really have)? I shop with my credit card 99% of the time even though I have more than enough funds in my checkings to make the transactions, and I know plenty who do the same.

Really !!?!? I found stats that are specific to shoppers on black friday.......67.3 % of the shoppers will be using credit to make their oh so important purchase of cheap chinese goods this year, and thats a low ball.

That wont be specific to the consumers expected this Black Friday. I've lost interest in this colloquy.

Oh boy. Of course the US governments decisions affect the population, but their debt (money being spent that they don't have) is not the same as the debt of the people (the cash they have to watch out for when they go out shopping). You were assuming that the part of the population that will be shopping this Black Friday would be spending cash they don't have.. which is a pretty big assumption. The population isn't one person with one mind.

Everything the US government does effects the populace, do you know about the "super congress" and their failure ? do you know what kind of austerity their failure will bring ? and that austerity will come down right on the heads of the people, with that in mind don't you think all this naked consumerism is just a bit stupid ? and you say I have nothing to prove it with ?? I still haven't heard conclusive evidence from you in Russia to prove what you are saying......

I'm not talking about the US government you fucking idiot, which further proves you make absolutely no attempt to understand any response to your idiotic assertions. Your initial comment said "look at the Americans spending the money they don't have". You were assuming that all or a majority of the 150 million expected consumers to shop this Black Friday will be spending money they don't have. You have nothing to prove it with.
