I do not own this audio or this lyric. I have put them online for people who do not know Jim Morrison was a poet.

My first youtube video!!!!

"Graveyard Poem" by Jim Morrison
Preformed during a live concert in the middle of "Light my fire"

lyrics:

It was the greatest night of my life
Although I still had not found a wife
I had my friends
Right there beside me
We were close together
We tripped the wall and we scaled the graveyard
Ancient shapes were all around us
The wet dew felt fresh beside the fog
Two made love in an ancient spot
One chased the rabbit into the dark
A girl got drunk and balled the dead
And I gave empty sermons to my head
Cemetary, cool and quiet
Hate to leave your sacred lay
Dread the milky coming of the day

thanks for watching!!!

  • Jim Morrison was a hero of a different level for all who want their mind to travel.

We must understand that he did care and he did love walking around in his pants made from leather for a glove. He cared so much it became his end.

By far my favorite poet may he rest in peace in the soil of France.

    Bedankt

  • @gardini100 i agree without the doors jim would of been a poet. period. but without jim the doors would of been a band like the monkeys, god forbid.

  • I wish I was smart and educated enough to describe how much I favor JM.

But I guess people pressed the LIKE button already shown wisdom! ~.^

    Thx for uploading!

  • death makes angels of us all n gives us wings where we had shoulders as smooth as ravens claws... JDM

  • its probably better if you believe the 78th coming of the high alchemist of Isis and initiate of lilith is just a delusional crossdresser named lucy. no really im crazy to think im jim morrison i wouldnt know im the 2nd coming of the most overpowered shaman ever shamans are retarded there is no afterlife. yea though i got my eye on u and it has BLOOD GUSHING OUT OF IT lucy faerdae wild is the 2nd coming of morrison and she lives in richmond virginia and she is witch queen

  • @witchcraftlord Art comes in many forms ...Jim was a poet ..the rest was the band

  • I always attributed his passing to the shock of bathwater--something many of his generation shunned ideologically.

  • @witchcraftlord Well obviously I really appreciate Jim Morrison and his poetry fascinates me tremendously but the word "hero" in my comment obviously should not be taken literally. As were his lyrics. No hard feelings at all we just express our thoughts about artist different.. But things as being fucked up en senseless could be handled with more care ;)

  • @W2boz wasnt trying to bother you or make fun of Jim Morrison, i like the doors and i got really interested almost obsessed with Jim Morrison, even though hes dead, ( im also obessed with Bach and he died 200 years ago) the music effected me so much i listened to it constantly and sing along to the songs, but people need to draw a line with how much they appreciate artists or celebrities, i knew you were going to point that out, you say its odd to compare an artist from the 60s to bach

  • @witchcraftlord Why are you comparing composers to a poet/singer/songwriter. These are very different things. You don't see me compare Salvador Dali with Van Gogh here now do you? And a hero is only how somebody sees another person. For me Jim is a legend and I express that.

About the Glove leather, maybe you should get a little informed about what you speak of. Go listen to some interviews with Ray Manzarek.

To be clear, I WILL praise whomever I wish to praise and I do love classical music 2
