A devastating drought is ravaging the livelihoods of millions of people in Kenya after four consecutive failed rainy seasons. The Kenya Meteorological Department says this year's drought is the worst since 1996.
We are only just beginning to see the early effects of man's destructive decisions. I think this is the tip of the iceberg and as leaders continue to mull over the Mau issue, pastrolists and farmers dependent on rainfall will bear the full brunt of environmental degradation. Sometimes it takes a catastrophe to awaken people to the consequences of their actions
With proper planning and cooperation between the local leaders, though not so much, something can be done to reduce the impact of the loss. But who among us is bothered with the future? I wonder how we will ans' our grand-kids why we never did something!!!!!
Is Ruto, Moi and the entire Kalenjin Mau mafias watching this? save the mau n drought will be a thing of the past.
