TERREMOTO CHINA 2008 - Earthquake China - Mw= 7.9

A las 06:28 am (UTC), 02:28 pm (hora local) de hoy 12 de mayo de 2008, un poderoso terremoto sacudió a la Provincia de china de Sichuan. La magnutud ha sido cifrada en Mw = 7.9 y la profundidad se sutuó a 19 kms.
El terremoto sacudió a muchas áreas pobladas, la ciudad más afectada es Chengdu distante a unos 75 kms del epicentro ahí la intensidad fluctuó entre los VII A VIII en la escala de Mercalli.
Las pérdidas humanas a las 19:15 pm de UTC del día sábado 24 de mayo de 2008, ya suman 81.000.
