To earn money to buy her son Jerry a new bicycle for his birthday, Lucy takes a job as a secretary - and ends up delivering important contracts in a kangaroo suit.
(Very funny scene with Lucy and a water cooler at the office. A Classic!)
Can someone explain the references to "Park Avenue" and "Madison Avenue?" Wasn't Lucy was based in Danville, Ill. for the first season or two?
Btw, at the risk of brickbats, I'll note the difference in quality between the first season and the rest. Lucy, although brilliant IMO, was disadvantaged because "I Love Lucy" was a collaborative of four gifted actors, four equally gifted writers, and directors who were almost always as good.
I grew up watching these old shows. I truly love Lucy, and I'm so glad I found these segments that I haven't seen on t.v. in decades. I'm so glad youtube came into my life. so now I can see all those old shows anytime I want to. I watch some Gilligan the other day. Problem now is remembering the old shows so I can look them up.
@necroped0phile69
