@dumaznbum conditions, statements, etc., that may result in injury to or death of personnel if not strictly observed. Sometimes we do not need to see the word never. Sometimes we do not know if we will be injured. The TMs list warning signs or statements for a reason.
@dumaznbum SAMG Course is not exempt from accidents! even if they know what they are doing. Yes you are right, the word never is not in front of the word stand in the TM. However, the word Warning Summary in bold type is the header of those statements. TM9-1005-213--23&P Page A. Also C.page vi Warning & Cautions. Throughout the man. u will see warning & caution data that must be followed. 1 Warning. A warning is used to alert the user of hazardous operating and maintenance procedures, practices,
@pawlarm lol it's the Small Arms Master Gunner course, Im pretty sure they kno what theyre doing. The fm itself doesnt say to never dissemble while behind the weapon. the only way it'll hurt you is if you charge it (or if it is already cocked back) with the back plate off. yes the fm covers that as well.
Never sit or stand behind the M2 when removing the back plate. Even if the bolt is forward. Always be just to the side of the MG. One can get hurt or severely injured by the operating drive rod!
my boyfriend's mom when a marine boot camp graduation and was asked to volunteer to put together a machine gun. she had "impressed" the marines the after they showed her and gave her a second try.
im going to go to my bf's boot graduation and want to be prepared if im asked. it looks interesting.
