My (Josh Perschbacher) organ arrangement of Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries. Recorded on a 4 manual 108 rank 1927 Casavant rebuilt by Schantz in 2001 and installed at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi, MN.

  • Very Impressive, but what are the trumpet stops you're using? Also love the bass, what length pipes? Haven't heard bass like that since the West Point organ : P Sry to pick your brains so much but I just love this rendition and its sound : D

  • @mrpepperkitty The theme dances between enchamade and tuba. This organ has 3 32's, 64' resultant, and lots of 16's and 8's.

  • holy shit that thing is HUGE! is it even possible to play alone????

  • @SchwarzundWeis It would take at least 3 people to play this

  • @jperschb How exactly does the thing work? Is there someone who has to run the air pumps while you play the keyboard? How exactly does one operate a pipe organ?

  • I love the smell of napalm in the morning!

  • Shake the roofbeams and rattle the windows!

  • Spectacular!

  • Magnificent organ, however, I'd like to see who the organist is, at the console, playing "Ride of the Valkyries" and admire his playing such a magnificent organ, in stead of still photos.

  • Das kann nicht sein !!! Der "böse" Wagner auf der Großen Kirchen-Orgel ... und trotzdem ist es WUNDERSCHÖN .... Bravo Mehr davon Da capo !!! AR.

  • @jperschb Also, gorgeous instrument! Far better than one normally hears out of a US organ. :s

  • @jperschb I think he's talking about the instrument, not the piece. Classic non-organist misunderstanding on his part. :p Very impressive transcription and recording!

  • Great performance but who is the organist and where are they in the video?

  • Moved to tears.

    Thanks!
