1986 Worlds - Caryn Kadavy

Karen leaped into American living rooms with this super Triple Loop. Coming from a balletic background, and coached by Carlo Fassi, most thought her Peggy Fleming reincarnated....but she proved herself an "original" time and time again. Although she never won a US Senior title, she was a World medalist, and had to withdraw from the 1988 Olympics (in the hunt for a bronze) because of the flu. I will never forget her sitting their on the night of the ladies final, propped up in bed with her giant hair curlers, being interviewed live via satellite!! I don't think she wanted the press coverage at that moment!
