there is little point in engaging in meaningful conversation with an 'indigenous scot'. simply put BOTOB was about those who liberated their country. Yes after that there was a period of fascism in Ireland (blackshirts and EDV's ignorance of the peoples votes) this however was nothing when looking at Europe as a whole at that time. Protestantism can't be subjected to ethnic cleansing, and to what cleansing do you refer, the wars of religion in 15-16c? where is the anti protestantism in here?

Protestants were forced out of their homes and farms across the South of Ireland. they were also murdered for their religion by the very same Republican mindset that is celebrated in song on this video.

It is of course a part of Irish history rarely spoken about, I guess for the bigots it is no doubt more romantic singing about being the oppressed victims ....:-(
