He's not fat, just has his thick winter fur coat - these cats originate from the forests in Norway and have to withstand very cold winters. They are also the second largest cats after Maine Coon and can reach 7kg - twice what an average cat would weigh.

Yes they could, but they roam around and do their own thing and nature has given them the sense to know when the ice is too thin to play on.

@TheGirlStories how could the cat fall if the dudes car was parked on the ice too?! That means the ice is like 2feet thick.

no car is parked on the ice! Its me standing at the edge. Ice was about 2" thick.
