Yes she is in early 2000's she was asked how she felt about gay marriage on Larry King and she said, "I don't know and I didn't know they wanted to get married!" Really Bette? The queen of gay icons doesn't know her gays enough to know we want to get married. Then in an advocate mag interview in 2006 they asked her why she was not in favor from the beginning of gay marriage debate and she said, "it took me time to get use to it". Look it up. Why did it take so long for her??

Way back in the late 60's I had a chance to get to know Bette. She was supportive of the LGBT community then and still is now. While much of her career has had the support of he LGBT community, there are certain things a celeb doesn't do to protect their career. As outspoken as she has been, she still deserves her life and private views vs her public stands in similar personal topics. Live in the moment, not in yesterday! Be happy for what she says now, not angry for what she said then!
