Professor Julius Sumner Miller, as himself, brought the wonders of Physics to Castle Frightenstein. The clip that I have selected lets the Professor speak for himself regarding his part in the show.

I honestly don't remember this part of the show from watching as a child. However, the subconscious must have remembered because when I got to grade nine and the class did the same experiment that is shown here, it felt "been there, done that." It's amazing how things will stick with you even when you don't consciously remember. I find these segments very interesting now that I am older. Honestly, I feel as though I'm viewing them for the first time, even though I know I watched this show faithfully at 5:30 in the morning between the ages of 3 and 8.

  • This was a great show. It had a very low budget and is often laughed at as one of Canada's worst TV shows ever made......However, in my opinion it is one of the most clever ingenious shows ever made for Canadian Televison. This show is in the "CULT" classification with its dedicated followers (including me).

To me, the show is simple and yet it is brilliant. It is a comfort show that gives you a great sense of peace and enjoyment. Personaly for me this show is one of my top 10 favorites.

  • Kids from 4 to 94 would benefit if all teachers were this excited about their profession.

  • @videocircus budget doesn't matter when the final product is entertaining .

  • I didn't realize how utterly awesome this show is when I was a kid :D I learned a shit ton from this guy I remember

  • Sumner Miller had a lengthy career in Australia, and is well known to children, now adults, for his Cadbury ads where he did quick experiments... the current Julius Sumner Miller Fellowship at Sydney University is a sceince communication role, continuing his work to bring science to wide audiences...

  • i learned so much from this guy .. even crafted some of his ideas or experiments.. of course they worked.. as in the show... great stuff.

  • i used to watch the professor with amazement as a kid.....

  • That fur is from a cat.

  • Simply The BEST!!! I truly wish children had this type of programing today instead of the JUNK that gets programmed into their brains. Thank you Prof. Julius God bless you sir...(although you frightened me as a child watching you shows on PBS lol)

  • Of all the segments on this show , his was my favorites .
