  • I think Scott Robinson may be on "C Melody" sax here (possibly an old tenor)

  • I think it is the " C Melody" .... thank you ... in others songs from the same concert He plays bas sax

  • whats up with the guitarists time

  • What a superb ensemble. Stylistically, these musicians really a beautiful feel for this genre of jazz music.

  • Yes it is a Martin, with the cross-member between where the neck crook and the post that goes into the body of the horn.

My Buescher has a solid cross-member that is silver soldered along where it meets with the neck.

  • I think it is a Martin C melody (from the neck)

  • What is the form? 12 bar blues, AABA?

  • I like the trumpet solo and clarinet solo I thought it was all very good

  • It's a C Melody alright. For anyone watching this that may not be overly familiar with Scott's playing, do yourself a favor and get some of the Marty Grosz records he is on. You wont be disappointed. Out of the 30 or 40 instruments Scott plays, it seems that the C Melody is his usual. I recently saw him debut a Spanish double reed thing called a "Tonora" (sp?). Whatever instrument he's playing, he has an uncanny knack for always finding just the right note... Fabulous musician!

  • Oh yeah, that's definitely a Buescher C Melody Saxophone, no doubt.

I have a C.G.Conn and a buescher C Melody, the Conn plays well and the Buescher not so well anymore. They're both from the 1910's

  • I love that raspy tone Peplowski gets...It's like his clarinet is a smoker...

  • C Melody!
