@OptimusPrime571 yeah thats the same reaction I got when I put Jordy Nelson as a top 5 wr, now its proven. Cooper has shown great potential, he is big, physical and fast. Yeah he had a few drops, so did Nelson in the Superbowl, even Lance Alworth dropped 3 in one game. top drafted that year Demaryius Thomas, Dez Bryant, Arrelious Benn, Golden Tate, Damian Williams, Brandon LaFell. In the 3 games hes started hes averaged 80 yards per game , 18 ypc, still a little raw

Cooper just happened to go to a team with two top receivers. They have fallen off a bit, Cooper should have been getting more reps. The knock on him out of UF was that he was raw as a receiver, needed to work on route running etc and Florida had a basic route tree. Nelson had similar problems coming out, he was raw, a converted db walk on still learning the position.

what? Riley cooper cant even catch a damn ball let alone be a deep threat. I would rather have Jason Avant out there. Riley cooper drops more passes than catch them. I dont even know how he is still on the Eagles roster, actually idk how he is still in the NFL!!!

@problemchild943 it was his 3rd start EVER. Even Lance Alworth dropped 3 passes in one game when he first started. You know who is 3rd in the league for drops? DeSean Jackson, u know who cost the Eagles 3 games because of drops and a fumble? Maclin, so get the hell out of here bout how he doesn't belong in the league;Receivers drop routine passes constantly, the passes he dropped weren't the easiest, one he had to make a 180 spin n across the middle arms extended, none in chest

@dwid1984 Jasson Avant is like a poor man's ricky proehl. Good for a first down and thats it, defenses don't fear him. He only got a bunch of catches because they played prevent defense leaving the middle wide open, wasn't a factor when the fame counted

@problemchild943 hes been better than expected for the eagles this year. when jackson and steve smith leave next year hell be a nice addition. not a starter, no. the eagles need to find a reciever in the draft. but a good 3rd option

the eagles dont need to resign desean, maclin is a better reciever and deserves the number 1 spot where he will shine, riley cooper can be a good no. 2, he can fill that deep threat void when jackson is gone too.

Riley Cooper will be a great NFL receiver when given the opportunity to do so. Philly should trade him to Denver for coach Fox and two future draft choices.
