It's in English; the effect is that the singer is gasping because it is so cold. Such a lovely song ... but to me, Nomi's version is breathtaking.

First of all they are not copying Klaus Nomi this was written by Henry Purcell (1659 - 1695) Thus Klaus Nomi cover this song although Klaus Nomi had great great talent one must not say it’s a copy of Klaus Nomi because it’s not!

quelle voix, c'est d'une beauté sans nom! j'ai découvert cet air chanté ainsi, par un baryton, et non par un soprano. Du coup j'ai toujours eu du mal à saisir la version de Klaus Naomi, qui biensûr était un artiste exceptionnel. Mais je trouve que l'air du froid doit se chanter ainsi, comme dans la version originale. Bravo et merci pour la performance, c'est délicieux à entendre!

La version de David Ortega est celle prévue par Purcell, et franchement, il n'y a rien à redire. Moi qui chante cette chanson à la manière de Klaus Nomi reste admiratif devant cette voix de baryton-basse ! Splendide, bravo !
