  • Responding to @jbohica ... Dear Brother... Take to heart the instructions of our King... in Revelation 2:1-7. Do not leave your FIRST love...

Meaning... do not be such a Doctrinal nit-picker that you cannot see the Forest for the Trees.

There are MANY well respected Theologians out there that do not teach scriptural truths... but rely on False Traditions in their Teaching. Including you.

Parables were not used to REVEAL knowledge... quite the opposite... they were used to CONCEAL.

  • Actually... I found my heart RENEWED and AWAKENED by Eldredge's "Epic Live!" audio resource. After years of trying to live up to the Law and being lulled to sleep in dead churches... slain by legalism... this was a breath of LIFE! Its the Rescue and the Redemption story... alluded to by stories that are more familiar to the general population.

I have also studied the bible verse by verse with Chuck Missler... and I have found NO egregious Doctrinal error in any of Eldredge's materials.

  • just preach the gospel.

  • I'm not promoting compromise but I am promoting unity in the body of believers. On the one hand, jbohica has a point that the Bible is the pure epic story of God not corrupted by Hollywood or worldly wisdom. On the other hand, "For he who is not against us is for us." Mark 9:40. Let John Eldridge us Hollywood movies. He's still preaching the correct gospel as far as I can tell.

  • @SamWiseBrayve You mean the parables of Jesus, right? The story of Jesus is real in a factual sense but many of his parables are true in a sense different from factual.

  • Ugh... Papyrus.

  • Thanks I will check it out.

  • I'm pretty sure it's from Passion of the Christ

  • does anybody know the soundtrack?

  • jbohica, you're a fool. you rant about something you know nothing about. do your research on John Eldridge. You'll find he is a real man of God after the Heart of God and nothing less. Be careful before you attack a man of God.
