  •  Saw the Byrds at the Whiskey in 66. I heard there was also a really weird band playing there. I asked if they were any good; everyone said no. I never went to see them; it was the Doors, before they got thrown out for playing The End. I never was much of a Jackie DeShannon fan but loved some of her songs back when I was but a teen-age baby boomer in the 60s.(and now I am in my 60s);

    Where have all the flower-people gone?

    Gone to graveyards everyone, and it looks like I'm next.

  • would have loved to be at this show. Never been to the Whiskey.

  • didn't know the Whiskagogo was still there, went there sometime in '65 when i was stationed at ElToro Marine air base, if i remember correctly, Johnny Rivers was there that night....

  • @jacobsimon nope....don't really think so.....after comparing w/randy on american idol tonight on tv....IMHO

  • I think Randy Jackson, the American Idol judge, is one of the backup singers. On the left side. This is awesome Jackie.

  • Miss DeShannon is one of the Grand Dammes of rock & roll, along with Carole King and Cissy Houston. My wife hates when I tell her this, but I would like to spend a day and a night with any or all of them. These ladies could teach me a great deal about the music business, and I would walk away a smarter man afterwards.

  • C EST AVEC  LE E STREET BAND ??

  • Oh man, so cool. The Whisky is still there too isnt' it? It was there even when I was a kid growing up in theSFV. I was only there once in about 1989 -- my friends opened for Madame X I think it was. Drove there & back from Phoenix in a minivan crammed full of people and equipment, it was fun.

  • Rocking!
