Full Story Below-
If the cop had not yelled at this man like he was a dog and pointed his taser at him the man may not have felt provoked. If the cop had not demanded immediate compliance with barking demeaning orders and then shot him with his taser the man may not have attacked. If the cop had kept his distance and explained to this guy why he was being detained this man would most likely still be alive today. This cops mistakes caused this mans death.

DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) - Davenport police have released details
about the incidents that led an officer to shoot and kill a suspect
on the Centennial Bridge over the Mississippi River.

Police said Friday night that officers responded shortly after
11 a.m. to a call from a cafe that serves meals to the needy, and
found that a volunteer had been hit in the head by a man identified
as 39-year-old Steven Mallory of Davenport.

An officer spotted a man matching Mallory's description on the
bridge, and attempted to stop him, but failed. Police said the
officer used a Taser on Mallory, but the suspect attacked him and
knocked him to the pavement.

During the struggle, the officer shot Mallory.

Both men were taken to Genesis West Hospital, where Mallory was pronounced dead.

  • The guy attacked the other officer, if he had not been immediately neutralized he could have gotten hold of the officers weapon.DONT EVEN CALL THIS BRUTALITY! They were just doing their jobs.

  • I am black, and i don't often surport black people, they carry the mentality that they are been hated and act out of ignorance and immaturity. This video says it all.

  • @Fyreguy16 he didnt kill him iv seen another guy put this video on but it was much longer backup was on the way about two sec later u see another cop step in u see the suspect under his own power go in front of the car get down on his belly and put his hands behingd his back later a biker cop comes and cuffs him he wasnt killed

  • Cop tells you what to do, you listen.

You don't listen and attack the cop instead: Cop will neutralize the threat.

simple as that, the way it should always be.

  • i agree, this guy was a criminal, but again im not saying the officer should have been the judge jury and executioner of the criminal. im so sick of these cops getting themselves into situations by themselves that forces them to use deadly force, aka killing the guy. they try and take on 1 or more people alone, thinking they are a badass cop with a gun, they can take on anyone. so instead of standing back, diffusing the situation and waiting for backup, he gets fucked up and kills the guy.gratz

  • Hitting a cop will get you shot, getting shot can get you killed. Too f ing bad

  • i agree that this isnt a case of brutality, cops have the crappiest jobs in the world, and if some guy attacked mewhen i was working odds are i would shoot him too.

  • read the whole story. this man was stopped because he had just assaulted a worker at a near by food pantry. he did not comply with the officers MANY requests then attacked the officer. the officer did the right thing. its sad the man is dead, but he brought it on himself.

  • good that he killed him

  • negros

  • whats wrong with the cops

  • @ki7yy If you are a former LEO, then you should know there's always more to the story than what is shown on some stupid video. You know you should "investigate" the situation to find out the truth. Here, I'll even start you out with the guys name.... it's Steven Mallory, look him up and why he was shot. Then look at the pictures associated with the story and related stories about the officer needing plastic surgery and tell me it wasn't justified.
