Atilla the Hun is not confirmed as Turkic. The Turks like to appropriate anything that inflates their history. Huns have many linguistic overlaps-Turkic is only one. Huns have HUGE GOTHIC linguistic connections. There are many scholars in linguistics and history who discount the Turkic connection. It is more likely that Huns are their own cultural enitity like Mongols for Mongolians, Turans for Turkics, and Hunics for Huns. But, every Turk grabs onto Huns as Turkic = crap!
