Shot June 2nd, 2009. At this point the fire was estimated at 800 hectares in size - it is currently 3500 (June 12: 8000 hectares). The aircraft is an L-188 Electra.

  • this fire is now over 6000 hectares and growing. It was started by somebody having a camp fire.

  • Nice video. We have a cabin on the east side, spent three days up there last week trying to clear brush, move firewood away from our cabin, etc. What a sick, helpless feeling. It would appear that the greatest threat has passed for now, I hope it spares the Marshall Lake and area residents. My brother shot a video of the Erickson Skycrane helicopter picking up water from the lake, we will try to post it up soon......
