Guard dogs don't work very well outside. For one anyone could simply walk around them. They slip off the chain and bite someone, then you're going to pay with money and the dog with its life. If they're too big or too slobbery, then get a regular alarm system and a gun, simple as that. Dogs were wild before us, they didn't sit in one spot without being able to defend themselves before man came along.
I agree that abuse and neglect of a family pet are shameful. Dogs need loving and caring families.
But it is not always practical to have a dog be a 100% indoor animal. My Beagle LOVES to play in our backyard, so he is free to roam and romp--unchained--while I am at work, and spends the late afternoons & evenings inside with his "pack." He is happy, healthy, exercised daily, and well-behaved.
My dogs are inside. I have a kennel outside, I put them in it when I wake up. They bark at the door to go out there. I guess anyone could come by and take a picture of them and make a video saying they are mistreated and never let in. 1/2 the dogs in this video looked like healthy pets. They had food and everything. Granted a few were a little underweight. I do not agree the dogs in ALL of the pics are mistreated. However, do recognize the point you were trying to make.
everybody watch my videos because listen, my dog a GOLDEN RETRIEVER!!! lives outside and is not usually chained up.. only when the gardner comes but other than that he is free to roam our yard, if you all watch my videos look at how healthy and happy he is. and plus in my video you see my birds, but i got them a much bigger cage and a new friend and they stay outside for the day for fresh air but go back inside the guest house to be safe and warm at night.
Have you ever objectively thought about this concept of an outside "watchdog?" If I'm going to steal from your house when you are gone and there is a dog in the back yard who CAN'T get in, I am safe from attack. If I go to open a door and am greeted by a barking, slobbering dog, I'm turning and running. It's just these pathetic excuses from people trying to justify their ignorance. Dogs aren't WOLVES for fucks sake. They are a byproduct of human intervention and should be treated as such.
how dare you my dogs live outside i do not chain them up or use them as a lorn ordement they get plenty of exercise love play food my dogs have a heated and air conditoned kennel with blankets pillows lights and plenty of toys and i take them to work with me not alll outside dogs are mistreeted.
Just because dogs live outside doesnt mean they are mistreated. No I dont believe in chaining them up. If they are in a decent sized pin and are taken care of they're fine. I've got two that I let loose to run and they are just as happy being where they are.
