Climate change over tens of thousands of years is natural, though it still results in numerous extinctions as species fail to adapt. Climate change over a period of 100 years or less is freakish, and there is one species, highly dependent on its agriculture, that will have a hard time adapting. Its adaptation will consist of a rapid population decline.
