Smith & Wesson 625 JM .45 ACP Revolver Full Review: Part 1

The Smith & Wesson Model 625 JM is a stainless steel revolver chambered in .45 ACP. This caliber has been in use in semi-automatic pistols for nearly 100 years (since the introduction of the Browning 1911). Though semi-auto pistols are incredibly popular, the revolver remains an extremely reliable sidearm for home defense, competition, law enforcement, and recreational target shooting. The 625 JM epitomizes the reliability, accuracy, and durability for which revolvers are known. Prior to 1911, .45 caliber revolvers were used extensively, most notably in the American Southwest. Nothing wrong with a .45 revolver. The .45 ACP cartridge was designed to duplicate the terminal effectiveness of the .45 Long Colt. Trust me, it will put them in the ground just as fast as a .44 Mag or .357 Mag—so long as you do your part! Shot placement is key!
