I know this is an old comment, but I think you underestimate kids...

(And just because it was written by adults doesn't mean it was made *for* adults)

The song isn't a nice song, it's supposed to teach/send a message that idolatry is bad.

And even if, and that is a big 'if' kids "started singing songs about wanting the bunny more than their moms or dads" I highly doubt they meant it.

@Packerscorner That's exactly what happened when they first released it, and they got alot of feedback from parents about it, so they changed it, and later on, made a improved one.

At my house, we morphed the bunny song into "The bunny, the bunny, who's got the bunny?" XD

I'm glad they changed it....cuz' the song is so catchy...and you don't want the kids running around singing about not loving mom, dad, or not going to church or school because it's for sissies, etc.

This is the one that i remember , i used to run around the house singing THE BUNNY THE BUNNY , WOAH I LOVE THE BUNNY , I DONT LOVE MY MOM OR MY DAD JUST THE BUNNY , my mom would get a head ache every single time , aww the good old days :D

I thought they had the original version still in the movie but after showed the "new improved" bunny song. I could be wrong but I thought both were in the one I got and they emphasized that they aren't supposed to sing the original.
