This is my first attempt at playing Daughter By Pearl Jam in Open G tuning. The strum pattern is the most difficult part to get in correlation to the words. The tuning is G G D G B D and the opening little riff is me just playing through the strings in the open G tuning. Hope you enjoy

P.S. The song is played on the 2nd and 3rd strings on the 5th and 7th frets than down to the 9th fret for the bridge and add your pinky for the signature sound.

  • the guitars a bit off but good job

  • @HappyTrigger180 Thank! I literally run through my songs a couple times before recording and posting. Figured the timing was a bit off, the strum pattern is a bitch on this song. But one of my favorites none the less!

  • lol, good grief, people on youtube are such dicks. Good video man, keep it up! Thanks for posting, it's one of my favorite songs.

  • @cmeimgee Your so welcome! It's all about having a bit of fun! So many people miss the mark with that on Youtube.

  • Please comment and respond. I love singing and playing my favorite covers, any requests would be great. Thank for viewing. P.S. Do not leave a negative or smart ass comment when you can not hold a note or do not even have a single video up of you playing. Peace

  • @HFPBASSIST Go slowly with the tuning process. If you haven't already broken the string up at the nut or down at the peg you need to stretch the strings sometimes. I tune up a little, than wait, maybe go back down, than tune back up to stretch them. Take it easy make sure your not braking your strings. Otherwise if you have two guitars set one up to use for Open G and Drop D tuning. That way you can just grab that guitar when you want to play a specific song. Good Luck!

  • I have a questio my guitar sound really strange when i tune it in open G, because the G Low string is so lazy what can I do?

  • dude, nevermind...i wont be mean...
