In which DNL rejects 'The Future' of L. Cohen and sets off to write a response song. Easier said than done, Mr. Lloyd. After more than a hundred drafts, the song itself sents out a distress signal. Who should come to the rescue but Leonard himself. This is an abridged version of a performance videotaped on October 29th, 2009.

    the Prophet was prophesying.

..and all the lousy little poets coming round

tryin' to sound like Charlie Manson - L. Cohen Congratulations, you just fulfilled that prophecy

  • @Sygnius

    Sincerely,

    A Lousy Little Poet

  • That should get you thrown out of a few clubs. Good comment song. Worth saying, worth sharing. Bold. Thanks for posting the lyrics karaoke style.

  • @celticways —You're welcome. Actually, it was received with good humor in Toronto. But with awkward humor in Montreal.
