@SanLewy THERE IS A DIVISION BETWEEN CHURCH AND STATE CORRECT? The word 'religion' is not defined in the Constitution. I believe its a matter of minding your own business.

Dr. John Ashbaugh is a deeply inspiring spirit.

Ya, clearly. At least you know your an idiot.

Thinking for oneself can be very problematic is one has a poorly or non-formed conscience...

Hey, remember when the Roman's made up your rules. Why don't you think for yourself.

Hi John;
You PUBLICLY support abortion yet you receive Holy Communion at the Old Mission. That is at grave odds with the teaching of God through His Church. This teaching is not something you (or I) are free to accept or reject.
It's also none of my business until you PUBLICLY professed your support for abortion WHILE CONTINUING to receive Holy Communion at the Old Mission.
How could I vote for someone who feels they can make up their own rules? As it is you're a hypocrite.

hmm.. Not completely satisfied with that response. I appreciate the attempt though.
I have no idea who "SanLewy" is, but he or she obviously does not know me very well. I do NOT receive "Holy Communion" in the Catholic Church, although I attend with my wife. I've described myself as a "small 'c' catholic" because I was raised Protestant, have enormous respect for the Catholic Church, but have never joined them SPECIFICALLY because I could never reconcile my pro-choice views with their position on abortion rights.
Q for you, SanLewy: How do you feel about the death penalty?

What are your views on 9/11 (will you support a new investigation?).
A majority of victim's family members say it was an inside job.

As a teacher of history, I know that the most controversial subjects we teach have many interpretations: JFK's assassination is perhaps the best example. The public will never be satisfied about the "explanations" offered for such a tragic death nor will we ever be content until the dark forces that motivated Lee Harvey Oswald are fully known.
The same skepticism applies to 9/11. Yes, a new investigation is needed- but it won't be sufficient. We will always doubt "official" explanations.
