The 44th Annual Creston Auction April 10th & 11th 2010
V, Marine, Auto & Equipment Sale will be held Saturday and Sunday, April 10th and April 11th at Creston, Montana—12 miles east of Kalispell on MT Hwy 35. Now is the time to mark your calendars! You wont want to miss what has become the largest Spring event to take place in Montana. This family-friendly event consistently draws more than 7000 people to Creston on the normally first weekend in April, however, because of Easter falling on the first weekend the auction will be on the second weekend.
Saturdays auction features building materials, household merchandise, sports equipment, tools, tack, specialty items, and a large array of antiques. Arts and crafts will be on display and for sale in the Eastside Grange Hall. A Rummage Sale will be held in the Creston School Gym (donations of items for the Rummage Sale are always needed and welcome).
Sunday afternoons sale features cars, trucks, boats, recreational vehicles, tractors, farm equipment, trailers, and an assortment of hundreds of other large items.
Both sales are open consignment (we sell for you) with merchandise coming from all over the Northwest. Early listings will be advertised throughout the state. Consignors are encouraged to list their larger items early to benefit from the scheduled advertising. Merchandise will be accepted from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday, April 9th, at the sale grounds in Creston. Sellers may specify that the proceeds from the sale of the consigned items (minus the consignment fee) be given to a specific organization—this is a great way to raise money for your church, school, or other group!
Hot food will be available Friday starting at 11 A.M. and all day Saturday, and Sunday. Limited inside seating will be available Saturday only.

Sunday, April 11th: * Equipment Sale begins at 12:00 noon The Creston Fire Department is a 100% volunteer organization dedicated to reducing the loss of life and property through fire and emergency medical response, prevention, and education. We have been providing service to the Creston community since the late 1950s. We have some of the best-equipped and trained firefighters in the state of Montana. Creston firefighters and medical responders are your neighbors—men and women who live in the Creston community. They come from all kinds of backgrounds and occupations. They are not compensated for their time either in responding to emergency calls or during training. They are professionals who perform these services for reasons that go far beyond money. These people have chosen to serve their community as firefighters and medical responders. They are supported by their families, by the Associate Membership (CFFAM), and by other community members. All fire department members are required to obtain a minimum of 36 hours of training each year. Many members obtain far more than that—up to one hundred fifty hours of training annually. The Creston Fire Department owns five fully-equipped engines, one 4000-gallon water tender, and one attack/brush unit. This equipment is housed in four stations: Creston, Lake Blaine, Mountain Brook, and Fairmont-Egan. The engines carry a full array of emergency medical equipment including defibrillators. The department also maintains a training facility at Lake Blaine Station.
