i never got an explanation for the Julie Harris character...she added no value to the story. Granted she was there for the big Gary and Val breakup but there was no there there. I did like the character, but thought she was just there as a throphy.

Mack would have been so good for Sue Ellen.I wish she could have met and fallen in love with him instead of JR in the 60's .Maybe Mack could have gotten a US attorney job in Dallas then.Course Mack would have been going against JR .Cliff Barnes and Mack could have teamed up

This is the season when Knots Landing execs thought the show started as a sinking ship but ended up with upper hand, with the successful introduction of Mack Mackenzie (Kevin Dobson) to the cast & Karen especially, & changing the format which basically erased all traces of the 4 original couples who established the show by season's end.
