I discuss a point often overlooked by both camps.

  • "Goddidit" explains nothing.

  • @destronia123 Intelligent design did it is a logical conclusion based of empirical evidence that the laws of physics for example are so fined tuned so as to be the product of intelligence.

  • @bencubed ,

this leads to the natural question of recognizing the belief as real, versus believing in something that is real. This would be similiar to saying love is real as a subjective experience only. However the God-question is about the claim of existence for an omnipotent, omnisicent being, depending of course on how one defines 'God'. A common definition includes the term 'creator', very much in the anthropomorphic sense.

  • @FoundationalTruth ,

Good for you for 'wanting' to take the burden of proof.

Along the line you briefly mentioned here, I could similarily state that the evidence for Harry Potter is England, without going deeper into the substance of his being a work of fiction written by J.K. Rowling.

There is no debate that England exists or that reality exists. The theists challenge is to establish that God is part of reality. I am willing to accept that all Gods are real products of the imagination. :I

  • @bencubed Hi :) - For a '1 word' answer for the 'evidence for God is: "Reality!" For a '2 sentance' answer: "Reality is evidence for God. That is physical (natural/scientific), philosophical, historical, logical, and the like i.e. all academic disciplines shows the evidence for God." The 400+ characters however that youtube comment boxes allow don't allow for the burdon of proof. A video allows one to make a cliam and then support it in 15 min (or longer). I want to take the burdon of proof. :)

  • @FoundationalTruth ,

a simple summary would suffice, but I will take it that what you intend to produce has real substance.

Let me know when it's done.

    :I <--- stoic face

  • @bencubed Hi :) - regarding my vid response to your 'data' question; I will do make the vid-response but I cannot commit to a time frame. I'll post it when it is done, but when that will be will be when I get around to it. lol :) I am sure you understand and I thank you for your patience. :)

  • @bencubed Hi :) I will give a video response to your data question as comment boxes don't give enough room for any respectful answer. As for your "tongue-in-cheek" comment: - My 'happy face approach' is intended to offer a respectful and enjoyable conversation. I have had discussions with people who were less than respectful in thir demeanor. Regarding our discussion however I notice that you have a respectufl approach and it is much appreciated. :) I look foward continuing our discussion. :)

  • @FoundationalTruth ,

" .. just because someone offers up data doesn't mean that it is supportive to their claim; but at least they put data on the table for study "

To follow your reasoning, I can negatively counter your claim (and thus far free of the data evidence you suggest exists) by saying I claim the falseness of your claim because Sponge Bob told me so ....

or, technology has successfully established the earth's age at 4.7 billion years.and determined a geostrata chronology of life.
