  • Holy God...the Phantom is refreshingly powerful in voice here.

  • Where was JOJ when he could've been casted in the 2004 Movie? He should've been the Phantom in the movie not Gerald Butler.

  • @CoolMapleStore she is terrible

  • @MweeperDan23 Gerard* :') aw gerald is a cute name xD

  • @CoolMapleStore JOJ is awesomesauce!

  • Just casually getting shivers down my spine. Anyone else?

  • I'm surprised that people don't realise that John is actually a dramatic tenor. If you listen to his Jean Valjean you'd understand. John just has a remarkably good range. Brilliant low range and an extraordinary high range as well. If you listen to him sing Who Am I, his top B is flawless.

  • i personally like the deeper tone in his voice. imo it just sounds more badass.

  • I really don't want to upset anyone but Gerard Butler actually has a better PHANTOM voice than JOJ. I mean I like JOJ but his voice is more bass than a baritone (a.k.a his voice is a bit too deep). I don't mean to upset anyone that prefers JOJ's voice.

  • Webber said he didn't want the usual operatic sounding voice for the phantom. He said it was a rock opera and for the movie he wanted an edgy voice and that is why he picked Butler. He did a wonderful job in the movie and had singing experience.

  • what a butchery :/ i mean phantom is awe-sum as always but ugh

  • @MweeperDan23 The director wanted a more rough voice for the phantom for the movie.
