well what i meant was the more traditional music of the traditions wether it be traditional yoruba or afro cuban brazilian ect sure you can wroship how you whant but to properly call orisha you have to know drum language and conversation or atleast oraly enough to comunicate through oriki odu kaure

I have never heard an orisa song that says HEY Obatala, Obatala hey...... Ibaye Obatala, Obatala orisa ire. Ibaye means to rest in peace so why is he saying Ibaye Obatala? The only traditional song he sang was Baba Fururu. Obatala has his specific beats and dances, none of them include the shimmy. This person dancing who pretending to be "touched" was nothing more than her running out of breathe and getting tired.

There is NOTHING missing from this presentation of the Yawo besides the respect she deserves by all in this forum. Secret rituals remain secret, this presentation is public & should be regarded as such. This wasnt an initiation or bembe.
