I solely listened to Deadmau5 songs, mixes, and remixes for 3 hours on a flight. I decided to make a progressive house song and after 3 days this is what I came up with, Enjoy.

  • nice man, I like it. What plugins did you use?

  • @DJLozenges Thank you. I mostly used Zeta+ and Sytrus for basically everything, there is a tad bit of nexus just for background pads towards the beginning but with a lot of editing in the mixer. I tend to not like using romplers, more fun to create from scratch in either sytrus/3xosc or really modify a sound in zeta+

  • jaded? not bad

  • @Ad90aM Haha yeah i think i listened to that one song like 4 times on the trip, the melodies really stuck in my head. However, I think my notes are kinda off from that song (same-ish melody but I think its in a different key). Im fairly good/decent at listening to something and then recreating it. I used music theory for most of it, but the high plucks I had to use A LOT of trial and error.

  • great song =) .. if you want check my stuff ;-)

  • nice man ...........

  • Pretty good (:

  • Not really my style of music but I like it for some reason! At 1:52 it indeed starts to get a bit muddy though.

I think you should search some tutorials about how "sidechaining" works in FL because your drums get absorbed by the melody at 1:52. with sidechaining you can make your kickdrums trigger a compressor on the melody for example, so they can pump through clean.

    hope this helps! ;) Greetz

  • Damn this is tight...love the drums

  • wow very nice beat :-D

  • wow have been long time ago and i see u are so avanced in fl studio now congratulations

  • Groovy!

    Good work!!
