@PshicoTiago It will boil down to your preference, I love my yamaha TRB, never played a 424, but they sound nice in my opinion. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

@proxyflamer its an ash body, with some substance to it, but not too heavy, I really don't remember it being heavy. ( I gave mines to a buddy.)

Hey i just got my SX 5 like yours,,, tell me why did they put a 4 pole magnet pickup in the back and a 5 pole in the front. This is the 2nd one i got i sent the first one back because there was a crack down the middle of the neck in the back. how is your back pickup?

@redhook4 You started out on $140!! shit I started out on a $40 dollar bass. Just got one that's going to replace it Dean Evo XM bass, it's got a sick mahogany body.

The part about "be happy with what you have" is soo damn true trust me people. I started out with a 130$ squire, I played some concerts and improved my skill then I ended up with a MIM Fender Jazz. Now I'm having a custom bass built for me over the summer by some experts. Trust me make the best of what you have and just focus on learning not on getting a new bass.
