@Earlsdonkid I go on about the lack of actually being built in the UK, so buy a Nissan, Honda, Vauxhall, Ford, Toyota or other that was rather than this that was just assembled here!
-
@paulb4uk Disagree, the rabadged Insignia will prob be pretty good!
-
makes no difference it woill be rubbish either way .

I bought the LE 500 in 2009 to support them. What did they do? kicked me in the teeth. I'd be ashamed if I was an employee of MG

People go on about the lack of build in the UK @ Longbridge. Who on earth wants more of that? I bought a new MG LE500 in 2009 and it has taken two years to get it anywhere near sorted, Longbridge should be ashamed of themselves. MG have absolutely zero chance of ever selling me another new car.
I might just buy an MG6 when they are down to £2,000 used, and I've no doubt that will be very soon.
I live only three miles from an MG main dealer and I have NEVER seen an MG6 on the road.

@paulb4uk It's not.

@paulb4uk No it isn't. That's going to be the MG 7

Yeah there hand building them to order .
Just to clarify the situation, whilst the MG6 is currently supplied in an SKD (semi Knock Down) arrangement, there is still a reasonable amount of assembly left to do in the UK, in addition the car was designed and engineered at Birmingham, in MG'S design & engineering centre which currently employs around 400 very capable engineers. Siginificant investment has been made in UK by MG's parent pany, who have also taken out a 30 year lease on the Longbridge site. Nut tightening is a bit unfair.
