The problem with this movie is that it tried to continue something already started. With the passing of nearly 20 years- it should have been a fresh reboot. It did not necessarily have to retell the origin story that everybody already knows- that can be covered in 10-15 minutes. But it still should have been a story where Clark Kent becomes Superman for the first time and has his first encounter with a powerful villain. Rather than just being Lex Luthor alone- somebody like Metallo was needed.
