About The Authors:
Valencia Brown, Erin Fitzgerald, Lauren McClenney, and Mirandia Pipher are all graduate students at Syracuse University. Attending the School of Education has taught us valuable lessons on the importance of collaboration and communication with parents, teachers, and our students.
Jabari's story originated from a collaboration project for one of our classes. As we began writing Jabari' story we realized the importance and value of teamwork. We hope that you enjoyed reading this book as much as we enjoyed its creation!
Jabari tells the story of his day at school to his mother. He explains that he and his classmates were painting in art class each using different primary colors. They were supposed to be working individually on their own colored painting at the beginning of the class. As Jabari and his friends being to interact and explore their materials, they find they can create additional colors by working together. This book is a great resource for students, parents, and teachers. It is a powerful way to introduce the creation of secondary colors and experience the power of collaboration.
This took all semester, I am so glad the end product turned out sooo nicely!!!
