  • All mainstream music is lifeless and limp today. It has no energy, inventiveness, or musicianship. Mainstream music has taken all of the incentive for young people to be inspired enough to pick-up a guitar and start a band (fault of record companies). Underground still lives! Young people please start bands! We need you! Don't settle for garbage!

  • @beachbum4166 More people than ever are doing exactly that.

  • You and your accent are adorable! :)

  • @fosterjaml4 Will do, thanks.

  • @ZacharyDavidMartyn Agreed.

  • Dream Theater - A Dramatic Turn of Events is a GREAT album. All Dream Theater is good.

  • check out Like a Storm, Black Stone Cherry, Seven Stones, Staind, Crash Diet, and many others. I lived in the 80's and it was an awesome time when the music industry (i.e. Hollywood) was in sync with the bands and the audience. We had bad bands too (milli vanilli, vanilla ice, oingo boingo,) but the good do rise to the top. Today's generation has the tools to make it big but if your not passionate about what you do why do it? Good music is there just look outside the usual sources.
