On June 20, 2011, at the Hamilton Police Service's Board meeting, Board Chair Mrs. Nancy DiGregorio and Chief of Police Glenn De Caire presented Sgt. Jay Turner (twitter: @HPSActionTeam4) and Constable Stephen Welton (twitter: #CstWelton and @HamiltonPolice) with the Chief's PRIDE (People Really Interested in Delivering Excellence) Award. The Chief's Pride award is to be given to members of the Hamilton Police Service who go above and beyond normal expectations. These are special acts of compassion, support and quality of service that are worthy of recognition. Through social media, Officers Turner and Welton are providing quality service that is worthy of recognition.
