I watched this episode the other night and I kept rewinding the part over and over of Barney mimicking Gomer's, "Citizen's arrest! Citizen's arrest!" Too funny! XD

As well, The Andy Griffith Show was a show that delivered a good moral message in every episode. Barney was NOT right - he admits this in the end of this episode. Andy's decision was grounded in sound moral ethics & fairness - qualities that our judicial system today lacks. It's curious that you chose to take this so personally; and overlooked the humor you could have enjoyed. The show conveys right over wrong in a humorous context. I sure hope with your mindset you're not a cop.

A law is a law - set in place to be adhered to. It is critical that traffic laws regarding moving vehicles be followed because of the obvious potential involvement of other vehicles containing people; should a law be violated that results in an accident. Excepting actual emergencies, an Officer is operating under the color of law & it is imperative that they adhere to them; by example. Anything less would demonstrate disregard & dishonor for their own rank.

sorry i accidently hit the dislike button......I love watching all the old Andy show's the ones with Barney that is.....Good televison, good writing, good actors, something you could set in the living room with your kids and watch....This crap they have on tv now is just trash, plan trash. Thanks for the videos....
