    There are extra beats in the song, which can be heard on the Anthology Vol 2 CD. John started to sing too early, and stopped, but in this version, the vocals were taken out, and the beats remained.

    Very interesting, considering the Stereo version doesn't have those extra beats!

    Originally released in November 1967, with "Hello Goodbye" at #1 in December. There were different "mixes" of "I Am the Walrus" on this "45" and the "Magical Mystery Tour" album. It wasn't until "Rarities" combined them into the "definitive" version.

    i just got all the 45's at target and they single of i am the walrus actually includes the extra beatles between those lyrics. crazy that apple put such detail into a limited release from target!

    My main memory is the extended string fill! i have my original single but it's pretty much the worse for wear and tear and cheap turntables. WEll done on the digital transfer. Cheers!
