TOP 5 | A little while back I reported how ASP competition surfing was starting to resemble that of an expression session. Guys are now taking playground moves once only flashed around their local break and unleashing them in the heat of ASP competition.

In the final of the Rip Curl Pro Portugal we saw ASP World No. 2 Jordy Smith attempt numerous superman airs in a bit to defeat Kelly Slater. It's fair to say a 10-safe-turns-to-the-beach approach is a thing of the past and certainly won't give you much love from the judges these days.

Not something many of us would have deemed possible -- we're about to unleash our TOP 5 countdown of the best airs in ASP competition from the last three events (Hurley Pro Trestles, Quicksilver Pro France and the Rip Curl Pro Portugal). Such is the current progressive level of ASP comp-surfing, this could have easily been a Top 20 countdown.

Well, without further ado, here's our TOP 5 ASP comp-airs from the last three events. Who will make the cut? Who will claim top spot? Will it be Slater, Reynolds, Jordy?

..could it be Taylor Knox? Probably not.
