  • Unfortanutley I was victim to onof these scams, the one i got was called WinAntiVirusPro, first it showed a pop up window asking if i wanted to install this program, i clicked no, and it installed it anyways! Soon enough i had pop ups when I wasn't even on the internet!

  • Sometimes clicking no also launches the installer. The best thing to do is press ALT and F4 at the same time to close the current window. Also, you can use Task Manager to kill the browser process to exit. These are nasty though.

  • how do u remove them??

  • A program like counterspy should be able to catch most programs like this and remove them. Sometimes, though, you need to use a program like HijackThis to manually remove their startup entries and then you will need to delete the files from the hard disk.
