First off it's not a fill, it's an intro. A fill takes place at the end of a phrase or section of music. Secondly, Mikkey Dee played the first part as two fivelets, one on the snare, one on tom one and three on the feet. Saw it several times live from backstage in the late 80's.

I actually used to play it as "quintuplets", but sextuplets sound fuller.
Yes, this particular example is for the intro to Welcome Home; however, Mikkey plays that same quintuplet pattern as a fill 1,ooo,ooo times per album...Any KD of
an would know that.
