Prema Lokaya Niwi Giya - Old Sinhala Movie Song - From 'Purusha Rathnaya' (1959)

This is a comical version of the song 'Prema Lokaya Niwi Giya' from the movie 'Sujatha' I believe. Nevertheless, sounds very early Sinhala Movie days where many old popular hindi tunes being localised. I do not know who actually sings this version.

Prem Jayanth and Clarice De Silva take the limelight as lovers whilst Eddie Yapa and Richard Albert aka the Tarzan show up with a comic cameo. Piyadasa Wijekoon appears very young and perhaps could be his first or early days before he bacame the villain of Sinhala cinema along with the likes of Dommie J.

Pitipana Silva and Vijitha Mallika too starred in this late 50s film.

dear vidura ,do you remember Darmadasa walpola's song UROPAYE HIMA VETENAKALE SEETHALASULGADENEE ,if my memory is correct film is uthum sthriya, i tried to find  that song from youtube and other websites.but ididn't find. do you have that song ?

Dear Chandra, yes, I very much remember the song 'Yuropaye hima wetana kale' by Dharmadasa W, though I cannot remember which film it was from. I think I have it somewhere in my collection will check it and upload later on. Thanks for your comment.
