Paul Simon is a master at creating interesting chord progressions. This is a classic of his. I put a capo on the 2nd fret to adjust for my voice. Leave it off and you're in the key of the recording.

Please note - this is an INTERPRETATION. It's NOT note-for-note. I don't have the skill to do that. Instead, I tried to simplify the song while keeping with some of the jazz chords that make the song interesting. Also, I'm aware the timing of the lyrics and chords doesn't match the original recording. That's the beauty of a Jazz inspired song.

I've tabbed it out and put it HERE. http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/p/paul_simon/still_crazy_after_all_these_...

Please note - this is a GUITAR video, not a singer video. My singing is in the video for timing purposes only. Listen at your own risk.

  • I found this while searching for chords/tabs for this song. I followed the link that said "a video of THIS tab..." I'm impressed; it's lovely. This is the one I'm gonna try to use. Thank you.

I have a question though: I'm not very familiar with capos. I see it's capo'd on the second fret, but the chords look the same as in the tab (which doesn't mention a capo). Explain? Did you just capo it to make it easier to sing? Is the capo necessary for key? Or just something you did here?

  • @XYAZ25A Yes - capo not needed, Strictly so I can attempt to sing. Cheers.

  • Superb tuition (& just what I was looking for..). Must get the guitar out & try it this weekend. Thanks a million for the tab. I wouldn't apologise for the vocals either: you have just the right voice for this and hit the notes fine.

  • excellent !!!
