Wow, im squeamish to cuts like this for some reason, but i may end up getting this surgery. I have been diagnosed with clinical carpel tunnel, and have had it for a few years. I played the violin in high school for a total of 8 years, i believe that is how i developed this. I have been sleeping with splints for about 2 years, so do think its time for surgery. I am wondering how long after the surgery do doctors recommend patients can start driving? reviews look good tho!!

@AnnihilatingAngel I had my right one fixed 4weeks ago, there is no way you can play after sorry, they tell you not to do anything for 2weeks (except making fists with your hand to help it not stiffen up) I find it hard to do things with my fist clenched now (It hurts a little to put fingers together to wash the cutlery) my carpal symptoms have gone YAY!!!! I think you'd be able to play about 5 - 6 weeks after but maybe only a few songs, he said it can be tender for up to 15weeks

@marisabozarth Most of my musicians are able to go back in about 2 weeks or so. There are risks like any surgery, but they are minimal. There are also risks by not treating it. Good luck- give us a call if you want help or for other questions.

i have carpal tunnel in my right hand (which sucks since i'm a righty) and i've had it for about two weeks, i really hope i won't have to get this done, or a cortisone injection since i'm deathly afraid of needles...

@blair0093 You need to be thoroughly questioned and examined and likely get a nerve test. Don't allow someone to treat you without all parts of that being addressed. The test is the least important. Good luck. We can help- go to my website
