  • She'll pretty much have too.

  • @NYCest2010 The song called, "Solitaire", is actually named "Palladio" -it was orginally composed by Karl Jenkins. The first and original black and white silhouette diamond commercial "A Diamond Is Forever; Diamond Solitaire", with the unmistakable classicalesque music aired in 1999. After this, every cheap department store that carries jewelry started to rip this commercial off and make their own sorry versions of it... Just look at how similar the Zales commercials are.

  • De Beers was a ruthless monopoly which was nothing short of criminal. Hell they even created the value attributed to these rocks. You can grow diamonds in a lab these days, they are not as rare as you think. Its only they buy new mines to keep supply low. If you want rare get gold which is an pure element. Diamonds are just compressed carbon. They also use anti competitive practices all the time. Like flooding the arket with smaller carat diamonds. In response to a new small carat diamond mine.

  • we played this song (paladio) in my orch. Concert and i didnt eveb know it was from a comercial

  • @44Prins44 mine too!

  • The only reason im looking at this is because my orchestra is playing Palladio :)

  • @HexSabre Best Wife ever.

  • I'd rather have my husband buy me The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim =)

  • I got my wife a huge chunk of graphite! It's only one carbon atom away from being a diamond you know :P

  • DIAmond industry going down....2012...good bye DIAblo...

  • i think men should buy diamonds for a only a handful of things engagement ring, maybe a wedding ring, first year aniversary, tenth year, 25th, and 50th if you get that far. the fact that this society has become so materialistic is shameful. honestly how well will that jewelry help you out in life except to trade in for cash to buy useful, practical, functional items like food water and shelter

  • actually, i WOULD pass up a diamond for any of those items you mentioned. i don’t care for diamonds. i think they are overrated and overpriced. for me, appropriate apologies come in the form of a back rub or cooking my favorite meal. hell, go pick me a clover! a dozen roses is worthless becausethat's $30 wasted that could've been spent on groceries or a tank of gas. any woman who expects money to be spent on her to be appeased is a shallow bitch who is not worth it.
