I remember reading about how these guys rejected Janis Joplin when they were thinking of having a woman singer in the band. They actually said she wasnt pretty enough and didnt fit their "image". Funny how she became BIGGER and more popular than THEM. Theyre not a bad band I s'pose. But,,,,oh well,,,,Peace everybodyyyyyy♥

@Ishmael932 It's always good to hear these personal histories that make up the story of music. Thanyou very much for sharing it with us.

@kevinjohnmorris: That IS Dan. My wife used ro hang out at Mike Wilhelm's place in the Haight back in the day and was invited by Dan to audition for the Hot Licks that he was just putting together. She had to pass so Maryann Price got the job instead. Pick up Dan's 60th birthday bash DVD from Surf Dog records for the Charlatans reuniting with Dan to cover "How Can I Miss You When You Won't Go Away?"
