@classicrock64 Well for what it's worth I was DJ-ing clubs and Def Jam sent me a vinyl promo of the first album, I still got it. They did a fair amount of promo but Masters Of Reality are still largely unknown today which is a damn shame. That album is one that still gets played regularly by me.

the god of the hi-hat. his hi-hat ride style was always the best-miked/mixed tone of his entire rig i always thought..it just swings endlessly. it will always be my coolest impression of him - riding away on that thing like a fine timekeeper.
